For as long as I can remember I have loved cars, especially muscle cars. From an early age my Dad took me to car shows and I learnt quickly which models of cars I liked. When I was about 12 years old my Dad brought me home a collectible 1967 two door Chevy Impala SS and I have been in love with Impala's ever since.

Recently my partner, Corey and myself have been in a financial position in which we have been able to buy an old car to restore. Many discussions were held over the price range we were willing to spend; knowing that over the time of restoration much more money would have to be spent and what car we wanted to restore. After looking at many cars that were both within and outside the price range and what models of cars were available, many of the cars we both liked were too expensive or in conditions that would require replacement of major structural parts. When I had almost given up on deciding on a car we both wanted to restore, I stumbled across an advertisement for a 1968 Chevy Impala that was for sale in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It was exactly what we were looking for and within two weeks we had bought it.
Now begins my journal of the restoration process...
